AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAIVI

The aim of the HIV/AIDS Awareness Program is to empower and increase the awareness to participants of HI /AIDS, its impact, management and availability of support systems. This is to encourage early testing and lifestyle changes that will thereby reduce and prevent further infection.

Swami Vivekanand Seva Trust celebrated World AIDS day on December 1^st, 2018 at Patan. The program was celebrated in Bus station area and on National Highway respectively. Uniqueness of the program lies in its approach. Unlike conventional information dissemination on HIV-AIDS, mass oath was taken to eliminate AIDS from the world; AIDS was identified as a devil and an effigy of the devil was burnt. Professional experts and a sound number of eminent personalities of the district interacted with community and the program could earn positive response from the targeted participants.
